  • Associate - Work depends on the client we are working with on a day to day basis, we will usually work on the lower risk accounts however will have full responsibility. We work with the people in our team.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • As we work our everyday jobs we are constantly expanding our understanding with audit and how the projects work. Also we will be taking 15 exams along the way of our course ranging from certificate to professional exams. As our work is predominantly working in teams we are always developing our social skills and team management abilities.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Its very hard work and some of the days are long. However the people you work with are all very positive and kind people making the days enjoyable nonetheless

  • 4. How valued do you feel by EY?
  • We are given full responsibility on the tasks that we are set this gives me a sense of fulfillment once the work has been reviewed and signed off, knowing that I had completed a high quality workbook

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Training is mainly on the job training with a few extra online tasks. The college however seems to be a little less structured having gone almost 8 months between college and relevant exam.

  • The support is there if needed via calls or email.

  • We have a counsellor and buddy system,.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • Depending on living expenses from person to person. Being someone who has moved across the country to accept this job a large amount of the salary is used in rent and bills alone.

  • The company holds events and encourages us to help out on CSR days and volunteering.

  • Yes

  • Overall is it a friendly environment for work, furthermore it is a wonderful stepping stone to the rest of our professional careers as it is widely know and well respected company


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to EY?
  • Give it your all, the whole way through the process. The process may seem like a long winded application however it is so rewarding when you finally receive the job offer. Be open and honest, everyone at EY will be honest and support you back.
