  • I am currently a Leathershop Apprentice at Rolls-Royce Motor cars, my job role at the momant is to currently work how the different zones throughout the leathershop operate and to understand the process the cars go through to finally end up as a finished product, i start work at 6am til 2.30pm on a Monday, Tuesday and Friday and then spend Wedneaday and Thursday at Chichester College doing a level 3 Upholsetery course. My main own throughout my apprenticehsip is to make an impact on the different zones and for them to not want me to leave as i was helpful, towards the end of my apprenticeship i will have more of an opportunity to understand the management side of the leathershop and how to do a management role.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • my structure is very well structured and i have a set out timetable of where i am ment to be at what time throughout the year i have moved around the leathershop and the timetables enables me to be able to see how many more weeks i have in a certain zone and where i am going too next, it also lets me know where pother apprentices are if so some reason i couldnt find them, we also have a specific requirement for eavh zone that we must be able to do by the end of the 2 month placement, for example this coould be to cover a valance for a RR5/6.
