My job title is a apprentice care assistant. I have many tasks that I have to carry out on a daily basis this includes ensuring the residents are washed and dressed. Also making sure they have a good diet throughout the day.
I am currently working towards my Math's qualification which I hope to achieve before I leave. Iv been on many training courses such as end of life which has given me more experience for the future and for how I am currently caring for people.
I have loved this role, loved working a long side other staff and working in a team. I have enjoyed my experience at Anchor.
I have always been valued by Anchor and iv been helped out with tasks if I am struggling. The staff aren't just caring for their residents they are also caring for their staff.
My programme is well organized, I work 4 days a week and on my 5th day I am able to study and complete my math's. I have had training sessions which have helped me out with experience.
My Tutor comes as often as she can to try help me complete my Maths she is very understanding and helps me out when I am struggling.
I have received a lot of support throughout my experience I feel like I can talk to anybody at my work place if im struggling. They help in the best positive way they can.
My wage is a small amount as im an apprentice, which is a struggle for me because I live on my own so my living costs are a bit of a struggle every month which is why I try and do overtime however we can only do 10h overtime per week. My travel cost I get back every month which is a big help.
Anchor celebrate summer fairs which are on my days off and I will be attending them this year.

I have always felt valued by Anchor. They are a great help to families, staff and most of all residents.
The application was straightforward and easy to understand. During my interview I was nervous however they made me feel combatable.
