  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Support engineer, vision engineer and IP Project engineer were all role titles throughout. Each one presented new opportunities to learn and get hands on with broadcast systems and infrastructure. Day to day tasks varied and provided a challenging working day throughout.

  • Very well organised, you can see what you will be doing over the entirety of the scheme from the beginning.

  • With Uni and BBC in house training there was a vast array of training and support available to us.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Huge amount of support, having a coordinator and a manager as a two tiered support is brilliant as well as having on site support, everyone was very willing to assist as much as they could.

  • Yes

  • Great organisation to work for. In the schemes you are incredibily well supported.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BBC?
  • Be yourself, show your passions and show initiative, don't be afraid to ask for help or if you can give something a try.
