Apprentice manager Review

I am now in my second year of my apprenticeship and have started the management side of my training and have nearly completed my apprentiship coursework. Every day I am learning and being trained in many different areas such as shop floor and the overall business and I thoroughly enjoy every shift. I would consider my role in store as important in helping the shift to run smoothly as management requires a lot of commitment and hard work but every day and shift is different but overall I think my role is great

Since starting my apprentiship my communication skills have improved significantly meaning I am a more confident person now after being with the public and the team of staff every day, I can now react quickly to different situations and solve problems quickly and efficiently.

I enjoy my programme a tremendous amount it is something I look forward to progressing in as i enjoy being a part of the aldi team

I feel very valued by aldi as the team will always help no matter what the situation, problems are dealt with efficiently and quickly if needed, working at aldi you feel as though the staff need you

At the start we had a few problems with the coursework side of the programme but they were dealt with once the problem was aired and I was thankful for that, the shifts are well organised with training being slotted in where it is needed and the right members of staff to get the job completed

If needed you can contact your trainer if you need anything from them and they try and come into store every 4-6 weeks to have a meeting face to face or they can complete this via phone call

I feel like I get plenty of support from my employer and therefore feel like if I need it I have no issues in asking for help or support when at work

The pay is excellent and is higher than the average apprentiship salary and at 16 this was a lot of money to be receiving and so salary and wage is no issue and I am very satisfied with the wage I receive along with the hours I do

Yes

I think the opportunities to improve in lots of different areas is a good employment scheme to be in, the job role challenges and improves and I think this therefore makes it an excellent job

It's not an easy job to take on and you have to work hard to achieve what you want but the effort you put in really pays off not only to you but to your employers
