I work in Industrial Agency and am constantly out of the office, which is perfect because I never get bored! I am constantly meeting new people whether it be inside or outside the office in different skill lines and jobs. I'm letting and selling buildings whilst learning about what is going on in the market. who knew sheds could be so much fun!
Yes. I've learnt how to use different softwares such as Promap and Excel as well as becoming a qualified first aider thanks to Cushmans financing it.
The culture of the office is very casual yet you can tell it is a community. All of the apprentices are across the office so I've become friends with people of different skill lines who I wouldn't normally work with in my role. Being based all on one floor gives the feeling of balance and harmony and no heirarchy.
I feel as valued as you can be. I think going into an office who isn't used to apprentices there are times when you might be under appreciated due to managers not knowing what you can and cannot handle, but Cushmans has made room for that and was very inclusive in the beginning.
It was not very well organised by the university, but i tyhink cushmans handled it very well and minimsed stress for us as apprentices.
i think i receieve lots of support from my tutor. Cushmans has done it so every apprentice has three or four people you can immediately contact. they are: your buddy (a graduate or apprentice who can help when you don't want to ask a superiior) your mentor - (someone who is in a similar skill line than you and hold a post of seniority. your line manager and your team manager.
i recieve lots of support from the early careers team, we have calls and catch ups which I think is great considering they are based in London. We always feel included.
I know others who make more. I think if i didn't live at home i would struggle slightly
there are monthly drinks
Yes
Because they are great to work for, have a brilliant reputation and look after their employees.
Be yourself. It's extremely cliche but the assessments and interviews are to make sure you would be comfortable and thrive at the company so pretending to be something your not grows tiresome and does not beneift anyone in the long term
