1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Job title - Audit associate Daily tasks - Working on an audit for a client Daily interactions - Working with a PwC team and talking face-to-face, phone or email with the client Projects - you may work on parts of the audit by yourself as well as with a team so there is chance to work independently on jobs

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

The hours that you work go towards the ACCA professional qualification. You gain a lot of knowledge from working on client work which helps towards your professional exams PwC also give training on areas such as new accounting standards, data protection and staying secure on the web.

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

4. How valued do you feel by PwC?

When it comes to working on client work, no one is left out. You will feel valued for work you complete. After working on a job, the manager will give you feedback on how well you have done and any improvement points.

5. How well organised/structured is your programme?

This is a very well structured programme. The first year of the programme is all done at university. The second year is when you first go on placement with PwC. There is training at the start of every placement, as well as meetings set up for you with your people manager when you get onto placement and regular catch up meetings with them over the time on placement

6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?

This is not applicable to this programme as you are given training by PwC and you are trained as you work

As mentioned before, you are continuously being trained daily, there is always someone there to support you and answer any queries

7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?

The salary easily covers your living costs. PwC also pay for your accommodation if you live further than an hour away from the office. If you do live at home, PwC pay a weekly amount towards travel and living costs at home

8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?

There are a number of activities outside of work such as nights out, charity days and golf days

9. Would you recommend PwC to a friend?

Yes

A great experience where you will meet people very similar to yourself, learn whilst working, feel appreciated for the work you do and get paid whilst doing it

10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?

Just being yourself has always worked for. They don't want to see on your assessment day someone who is putting on fake character in order to get onto the programme.
