  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • As a work experience student, each day varied. Each morning there would be a talk or presentation, for example an entry to law talk and litigation presentation. Then, in the afternoon I joined my supervisor for that day, we alternated throughout the week meaning I worked with three different trainee solicitors in different departments. When working with my supervisor I was given tasks to do, some of which involved actually helping the supervisor with their work and others were activities that were related to the area of law in that department.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • At Pinsent Masons I developed my interpersonal skills as I had to meet a lot of new people, including other work experience students and employees of Pinsent Masons. I also learnt what it was like to be working in a professional environment and how a law firm works and is structured.
