  • As an apprentice in mechatronics, I look after paint robots on a day-to-day basis, checking them before production starts and fix and log errors when they occur.

  • I have learnt to weld, mill and lathe.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I find that my limited involvement with the robots limits my enjoyment.

  • Realistically I feel like I hold very little value and even with evidence backing it up my opinion is discounted very easily.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Organisation of my apprenticeship has been very poor through both Rolls-Royce and the college I attend.

  • Very little. The college is extremely disorganised and does nothing to act on issued I may have.

  • Whilst organisation is an issue, my employer are good at acting on issues.

  • My salary is very good for an apprenticeship.

  • Not that I am aware of.

  • 9. Would you recommend BMW Group to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Despite my issues with my apprenticeship, other more well established apprenticeships are greatly successful.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BMW Group?
  • Apply for an apprenticeship at Chichester university rather than Chichester college.
