Role 1: Operational Tester - testing the loads of applications and whether they can withstand high loads over time. Role 2: Functional Tester - writing scripts for testing applications to see if they functionally work as expected.
AWS, SQL, VSTS, Maximo, Hyperion, Communication skills. Very much improved upon presenting skills.
Very much so, it is challenging and each day always presents a new challenge.
Very valued, apprentices are well taken care of and as long as you ask questions you always learn. Accenture values all employees and constantly shows it via emails and benefits. Team nights out are fantastic.
After having a delay to starting the University program it was clear that the program was still young and not very well structured, though it is getting better with time and is working as I would have expected. Being an apprentice at work, you do have to ask questions and not everyone will always go out their way to teach you, as they are also busy, but will always provide time to assist when asked.
A lot of assistance through emails and 1 to 1s.
A fair amount of assistance though a lot of it has to be prompted as people are busy, but will always find time to help.
Very well, as an apprentice the salary is at least minimum wage which is far better than most apprenticeship wages, and it continues to rise yearly which is impressive, very easy to live on.
There are lots of volunteering opportunities which are always advertised very well and promoted highly - 3 days a year extra holiday specifically to volunteer - which has really helped my presenting skills.
Yes
Fantastic salary for an apprentice, degree is decent and worth while. The company provides so many opportunities for someone without experience it is the best company around in the North East in my opinion.
Be positive and confident, they know you don't know anything about software. So show you are interested and adaptable to anything that is thrown at you. They are looking for adaptable individuals that can be molded.
