  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • During the time in this role I have learnt a lot, especially around time management. the role requires multiple meetings per day plus supporting a 24/5 operation. I leave learnt how to prioritise work load based on reward and dependencies and what work can be delegated. I have also gained skills around personal presence in meetings and having my voice heard in a crowd of more senior colleagues.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by DHL?
  • DHL let you get involved in many different things as part of you day. sometimes when the volumes are high it can seem like the company does not appreciate what you do but that be the same for any company. when it comes down to the it, the company has always been there for me when I have needed them and supported me during a difficult period in my life

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • the communication that has been sent out has been very good however on occasions the communication is very last minute. with having to factor in the day to day time requirements and then last minute meetings or web sessions it can sometimes be difficult. it would be better if the following 3-4 weeks schedule could be sent out in advance so that and clashes can we worked around

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • the support provided by the training supplier has been really good so far. there is a wealth of knowledge available on line and the people I have spoken to all seem helpful and friendly. everybody that I have spoken to all have the same goal and are happy to help even if the same question has been asked multiple times!

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • my employer has been happy to help during the course so far. there will be occasions when appointments will clash and they have advised they will do the best they can to accommodate my training. I do however feel that I will struggle to get the allotted time made available in working hours and I will have to pick this up im my own time.

    6/10

  • 9. Would you recommend DHL to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • DHL has lots of opportunities. you could start day 1 as a picker and within a few years be a manager or working in a completely different department ie finance or IT. DHL works in many sectors so the possibilities are endless. once you have shown your abilities and dedication you could apply internally to do anything!

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to DHL?
  • DHL like to see experience. they are very risk adverse so want to ensure people can come into the role already knowing what they need to do. you would need good examples of what you have done previously. DHL roles are very full on so the candidate would need to expect to have full days from the off set and expect to be stretch and work very hard.
