  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • At the moment my role is as a store assistant, learning everything there is to know about the role. I do stock, tills, deliveries, and many other tasks on a day-to-day basis.

  • I have learnt a lot of new skills in respect to working stock and within the warehouse. I have also developed my existing customer service skills from my previous job as a waitress.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy the practical side of my job more than the written side of the programme. At this point the written work is quite tedious but I've been informed that it will become more in depth during the second year of the programme.

  • I feel like I am appreciated within my store and am treated with respect and as a member of the team by all my colleagues.

  • It is well organised and has a clear structure which is carried out well.

  • I receive all the support I require to complete my work

  • I receive great support from all of the team within the store to grow and develop within my role

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • Being 20, I'm older than most apprentices, I actually took a pay drop when I started the programme and left my previous job. Due to my age, I have more costs and responsibilities than other people on the apprenticeship may have and so it doesn't meet my costs as well as it could.

  • There are a few but not many interesting opportunities available.

  • Yes

  • Because it is a good place to work if you're hard working and up to the challenge.

  • You have to be flexible, a fast learner and physically had working
