  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am a Fibre Jointer for Openreach and as part of their Business and Corporate development team I fit fibre optic circuits into business premises. We are provided with daily tasks for fitting to different businesses, we fit equipment within the telephone exchange and then create a connection between there and the customer premise usually through an external terminating splitter. Once the circuit has been fitted we test and commission it.
