I am a Network Engineer. My day to day varies quite a lot. Some days I'm doing cloud configuration with AWS and then on another day, I'm configuring load balancers, switches, routers etc
I have learnt a lot of new skills with Networks. I've become more experienced with scripting and configuration
I enjoy the programme a lot. I love my team and you are never treated like an Apprentice which is great!
Valued greatly! For such a large company, 480,000 employees, you never feel lost and your contributions are always recognised
The programme is structured very well. The relationship between company and learning provider is great, there is no superior which means that there is no conflict between studying and the job.
I receive a lot of support from my training provider. I have had experience of University and I fell this is more hands on and we get alot of guidance
I receive a lot of support from my employer. They always respect my study times but also don't force them upon me, they allow the flexibility between study and work on a week by week basis i.e. in exam week, I get more time to study
The pay could be improved I think to be more aligned with workload. Due to this static structure, there isn't any bonuses. However, this is compensated with social events supplied by the company. It does restrict your possibilities
There are plenty of opportunities outside of work! And if there isn't a club or group you want to join, there is the freedom to start your own!
Yes
Its a fantastic place to work. The opportunity is there, you just have to be willing to take it and put in the time.
The interviews are hard, but just concentrate on being the best version of yourself. Accenture employ a person as whole - social skills and technical - they don't want a lone wolf type, even if you are a master at your trade.
