  • 4. How valued do you feel by Arup?
  • I feel that apprentices are undervalued by Arup. Their progress is not recognised by promotions because there is a framework that prevents you from being promoted until you are about 4-5 years into your job.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The apprenticeship scheme is well organised. There is an introduction week where everyone is invited to stay for a few nights in a hotel near one of the Arup offices. The introduction week is good fun and helps you to settle in. The delegation of work to apprentices is also very good as they are kept busy all the time with tasks that suit their ability.
