As an Apprentice Surveyor, I have been working in the Property Management Team acting on behalf of Clients to manage their properties and solve property-related issues they have all over the UK. I have contact with Clients as well as manmy people within the business.
I will have obtained a degree by the end of the course, and hopefully have sat my APC to become a Chartered Surveyor. I have already undertaken many training programmes and have experienced many new roles.
In terms of work and the team I have really enjoyed interacting and doing what I have done. It has exceeded my expectations in terms of what I have learned.
I definitely feel I have appreciation from each of the line managers I have worked for, as well as being recognized within the company and the office.
On the work aspect, it is extremely well organised. At university, the organisation is less as good but is good enough to ensure we achieve the best opportunities.
Support is available from University fro tutors as well as many resources.
I receive lots of support from many aspects at work: the Early Careers Team, my work team and various colleagues within the office such as assigned mentors/buddies.
In terms of living/travel/social costs, the salary is quite good and I have been able to set up savings etc.
There are many opportunities/activities provided by work and local networks within the property industries
Yes
They are a very large firm offering a great experience to those looking into property and who are focused on being able to progress their career.
The application process can be difficult, but the most important thing is to be enthusiastic and willing to learn about the industry, because it is those people who will go far in a company like this.
