Apprentice Technician. carry out daily morning tasks to help set up the workshop for the day ahead. carry out tasks with my mentor throughout the day and jobs by myself under supervision of my mentor.
I am now Qualified to use the Air-con machine after passing an F-gas approval course and assessment, finishing different modules over the course of the years at collage when on my training blocks, developing new people skills when interacting with new people that I meet along the way.
I look forward to my training blocks each week and enjoy learning the different modules, it is a good environment to be in when learning and I am lucky enough to work with some very friendly people that constantly offer help and support as well as the added support from the trainers i have never felt like i would struggle or be under pressure when finish set tasks.
as an apprentice I understand that my current role may not be the most important within my company but I feel extremely valued and take pride in knowing that I am working towards being key factor in the future of the company.
I feel that the structure is very well organised and I am always well aware of what is going on with regards to my learning. the induction to the curse was very beneficial and was a good way to gauge and understand how the next thee years of my life are going to plan out with my career.
every week of my training block i am asked for updates on how i am doing and reciev support with what im struggling with, when not training i get lots of support from my VLA and the people i work with.
when working my collages and managers make an effort to understand and help me with what im doing through my apprenticeship with discussions on how my week went and what work i need to carry out.
with the current wage i get i live my lifestyle accordingly and comfortably.
their are some opportunity's that are beneficial, but i would be very interested in any more opportunities.
