I work in GPS Audit. It involves testing the authority's financial statements and regular meetings with the client

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

From learning on the job I have greatly improved skills in accounting and finance. This is all after internal training and training for an ACA accounting exam

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy what I do because of the changing nature of both the work I do and the client site, as well as all the extra activities

I feel like the work I do makes a difference

5. How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme itself is well structured in relation to work at clients as I always know where to go and what to do. The exam organisation could be better done

I receive a lot of support both from the exam trainers and from my direct manager. With regular meetings regarding progress and feedback

I receive a lot of support in relation to exam preparation and help understanding the work I do

I am paid very well for my age and am able to meet living costs

10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to EY?

Read up on the company and when you know where you want to apply, put in applications to other similar places as well as it helps get used to the application process
