  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I manage a team of 50 recoveries agents to collect money owed by outstanding insurers. This involves managing workloads, training and performance management. My official title is Pre Litigation recoveries manager. I generally ensure I interact with all of my employees on a daily basis as well as senior management. striking a balance in my role is very important.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have already completed my level 3 management in Management and I have learnt all the skills associated with being a manager at ERAC. Mostly I have worked on my communication and presentation skills. I am responsible for the training matrix within my department and it really is geared up for progressing and building on skills.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I feel it will be very beneficial to me and help with my existing skill sets. I find that I am learning new things across the process that I maybe wasn't aware that I need to know or would benefit me. I really enjoyed completing my Level 3 so the level 5 was the next natural step and work have always been very supportive.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Enterprise Rent-A-Car?
  • Overall the my department has made strides forwards in recognizing lower level employees and appreciating their value. There is still a way to go with management but there have been some amazing improvements. There has been a huge drive on making ACS a great place to work and I am very proud to have been a part of that.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I have all of my resources available to me and I am able to structure this around my working day and own time which is very useful. I feel it has been very organized so far. The induction was comprehensive and gave me all the information and links that I need to move at my own pace. It has overall been delivered very well so far.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • In terms of my tutor she has been very helpful and has been able to provide me with anything that I have needed so far. I have been able to access all of the systems and view all of the information and guidance I need. I have several other people around me doing the same NVQ so can also reach out via them.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Enough. I am a very independent person who mostly reaches out when I need it and support has always been there. In terms of welfare issues the company are very supporting and are great at arranging alternate working hours where needed and possible.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • Moderately. I am aware there are much higher paid roles available to me external to the company but I am happy at ERAC. You need to remember that whilst salary is low the security and engagement is high.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • Enterprise as a whole of a lot of external events but most of this is through charity and diversity initiatives. There has again been an improvement in department events which include happy hours, team building and awards events.

  • 9. Would you recommend Enterprise Rent-A-Car to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I feel that it is a company that you can either come in do your job and go home or you can really progress a career here. There are so many different avenues for progression that you can take and you literally can control your own destiny.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Enterprise Rent-A-Car?
  • Understand the core values of the business and ensure that they align with your own. we don't necessarily look for experience we look for the ability to be trained and the skill sets that you have as an individual.
