  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have completed my Cert CII since I have been here along with a few internal and external training courses that have helped me build up more confidence and better communications skills while also learning about the more technical side of insurance underwriting.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy working with a very friendly team in a relaxed but professional workspace. It met what my expectations were as I enjoy interacting with all of my colleagues and always feel happy to help others.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by RSA Insurance Ltd?
  • I feel valued as I will always get recognition if I ever complete a task in good time or help my team out with a big project etc.

    8/10

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I personally feel the programme is structured poorly and badly organised from my current experience. The main issue was a lack of anyone to go to when help was needed as many people who were supposedly looking after the apprentices were continuously leaving and being replaced. this created a barrier of communication which in turn created a lot of problems.

    5/10

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • as mentioned in question 5 this was an issue as there was a lack of communication / any relationship. However this seems to have began to be solved now.

    4/10

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I will always receive support from my team when requested and there has always been a good attitude towards this however again there was issues with representatives in HR etc.

    6/10

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • I would describe this as average. It starts off very good when you consider your age however any increases are minimal over the three years so by the end of the scheme the salary would be seen as very average considering the amount of experience you would have.

    6/10

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • There are always opportunities outside of work as long as you have a supportive team and get yourself involved.

    7/10

  • 9. Would you recommend RSA Insurance Ltd to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Greta place to work and a very good place to gain valuable experience

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to RSA Insurance Ltd?
  • With regards to interviews: be yourself and try not to act 'how you think you should'. I think a lot of the role you would have would be based on how well you would be able to network / get on with the people you work with. So showing good communication, positivity and being easy to talk to would be the key.
