Project Assistant Review

My role was as a Project Assistant/PMO Analyst over a two year period. Tasks included governance work, milestone tracking, POAP's, RAID, CMT updates, scheduling.

Yes, I have learnt new Project Management skills and refined PMO skills. I also recently APM qualification as part of my apprenticeship

I enjoyed the programme, it was a fantastic experience that introduced me to a wide range of stakeholders and peers.

Yes, I was also nominated for Change Trainee of the Year which is a recognised event and have received several E-Cards and Vouchers

It was well organised in the sense of the tutors but could have been supported better by the internal Apprenticeship team perhaps by having check points with us on an individual basis.

Support and suggestions on the work were appreciated. The conversations were brief but it was all that was required if you were on track.

From my Manager and team I received lots of support however the wider Apprenticeship team could have supported much more. In some sense we were left to our own devices and there was different quality experiences from different apprentices as a result.

My salary was fair for the role I was doing and lined to the Business.

Yes, there are lots of experiences such as Charity and social elements which have made the job much more enjoyable. It is a shame these do not continue once the apprenticeship is finished to allow us to maintain these relationships.

Yes, it is a inclusive place to work and the apprenticeship offers a foot in the door of a large company.

To be confident and be open to all experiences as a result of the apprenticeship to make the most of it.
