  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The study programme is organised ok by my university. There are a few problems in terms of communication of information and being able to recieve timely responses. However, at Pfizer the programme was organised well. I was introduced to the programme with a lot of training and support by my line manager. My line manager was my go-to person who helped ease me into the programme providing me with both support and advuce whenever required.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • I have an Apprenticeship Manager from my training provider who is in constant contact with me. I have review meetings every 3 months to ensure I am on track and to see if anything needs to be discussed or any issues needs to be raised. My Apprenticeship Manager is always ready to help me and provide me with the information that I need. There is a real feeling that they are striving for me to exceed. When I have raised issues in the past, they have been addressed and raised to my university.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • As I live further away from the site, travel expenses can be quite a lot. The salary can sometimes struggle here. Also, I am currently saving for a house and most months it is hard to save a solid amount due to living expenses. Therefore, the salary can struggle again here.

  • 9b. Why?
  • I would recommend Pfizer because the culture is very welcoming. There is no heirachy and each invidiual has time to invest in you to ensure that you succeed. The team here allow me to develop and ensure I understand each task I complete. The day here is always varied and my Line Manager is aware of my workload. • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Pfizer?
  • I would say ensure you complete some research. Pfizer is an interesting company and you need to ensure it is for you to ensure a successful collabortion. When it comes to the interview, be yourself. If you are open and honest, the interview will flow as if it were a normal conversation. The interviewers are not there to catch you out, they simply want to see if you will fit within the team and have the capability to complete the programme. Answer questions with honesty and try and ask some questions yourself. This was you get more of a feel for the company and whether it is right for you.
