  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I work in eMaintenance so it is a mostly administrator role that has quite a lot of problem solving. I frequently have to deal with many internal and external customers daily and use knowledge to fix issues.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Apart from the level 3 qualification at the end. I feel like I have learnt how to better use my tim. I feel like I have improved my confidence and communication skills the most but I am definatly an improved version of myself.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have really enjoyed my time with Canon through the apprenticeship scheme. I have a great team and they are very helpful if you have any issues with work or the apprenticeship.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Canon UK?
  • I feel very valued by Canon as I am a part of a new team that will have a big impact on the business which is a great feeling as you can actually make an impact.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The apprenticeship is well structured where I have support when I need it. I had to hand in one piece of coursework a month on top of the work you normally do however I was able to keep on top of everything as I knew from the start what was required from me every month.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • My assessor visited once a month but I was able to contact him at any time with any questions I had. I didnt feel swampped with work as if I had any issue I could ask for help from everybody.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I recieved a lot of support from my employer as I could ask anybody for assistance, my manager was able to assist at any time to help me with any questions and I was even able to go to other departments to help me answer questions.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • The salery was not an issue for me and I didnt feel restricted which I thought I would.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • There are countless oppertunities at Canon to do things outide of work from social events to discounts on everything. There is to many employee benefits to list here.

  • 9. Would you recommend Canon UK to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • A Canon apprenticeship is a great stepping stone from school to work where you are able to learn and develop at a very well recognised business with all the support you could need.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Canon UK?
  • Be yourself, prove to the company how you fit the role that you are applying for and show them that you are motivated.
