I work in eMaintenance so it is a mostly administrator role that has quite a lot of problem solving. I frequently have to deal with many internal and external customers daily and use knowledge to fix issues.
Apart from the level 3 qualification at the end. I feel like I have learnt how to better use my tim. I feel like I have improved my confidence and communication skills the most but I am definatly an improved version of myself.
I have really enjoyed my time with Canon through the apprenticeship scheme. I have a great team and they are very helpful if you have any issues with work or the apprenticeship.
I feel very valued by Canon as I am a part of a new team that will have a big impact on the business which is a great feeling as you can actually make an impact.
The apprenticeship is well structured where I have support when I need it. I had to hand in one piece of coursework a month on top of the work you normally do however I was able to keep on top of everything as I knew from the start what was required from me every month.
My assessor visited once a month but I was able to contact him at any time with any questions I had. I didnt feel swampped with work as if I had any issue I could ask for help from everybody.
I recieved a lot of support from my employer as I could ask anybody for assistance, my manager was able to assist at any time to help me with any questions and I was even able to go to other departments to help me answer questions.
The salery was not an issue for me and I didnt feel restricted which I thought I would.
There are countless oppertunities at Canon to do things outide of work from social events to discounts on everything. There is to many employee benefits to list here.
Yes
A Canon apprenticeship is a great stepping stone from school to work where you are able to learn and develop at a very well recognised business with all the support you could need.
Be yourself, prove to the company how you fit the role that you are applying for and show them that you are motivated.
