  • My role in within the Sales Operations team which support the sales staff complete their roles. This in involves Salesforce and reports/covering every member of staff within my team when they go on leave.

  • I have been taught by watching someone else do their job and then self teaching the components.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy the people and University, to some extent. Not the role or lack of development which I have been trying to resolve for 5 months.

  • Not at all.

  • There is no structure apart from work Monday-Thursday and University on Fridays.

  • My training provider are great, all staff are approachable and willing to help with work or even personal issues.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • As said in a previous question I am trying to resolve the issues within my role and this is getting no where. I have been in tears to various members of staff and I'm getting no where.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • We take a pay cut for on the job training and development, which is not happening. I am doing a regular job on an apprentice wage.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • BT try an get us involved in social events and volunteering, a lot is built around being an apprentice.

  • 9. Would you recommend BT to a friend?
  • No


  • 9b. Why?
  • I have had a poor experience within my role and so have most of the sales staff. Trying to get this resolved has been exhausting and has impacted my first few university assignments. After waiting months for the job, it is not all it's cracked up to be.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BT?
  • Ask a lot of questions, even if you think that it is something you should know because you are not told much.
