  • Training to be a warehouse supervisor - taking lead on smaller projects and departments while focusing on building experience and evidence to complete my NVQ coursework

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have been through highs and lows throughout my role but I still do something different everyday and despite the lows I still have not considered going elsewhere

  • 4. How valued do you feel by BT?
  • I do not feel valued by the business itself. However I do receive recognition from within the workplace such as from my manager and so forth.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I am one of the first apprentice to come to this section of BT and therefor it was difficult at the beginning as there was no plan set into place; I am now a year and a half in and there is now a good structure that can be used for new apprentices that join the business

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • My training provider and employer are the same. I receive good support when I require it however I am only having a meeting every 6 weeks with my NVQ coach to discuss targets and out safety + wellbeing. I am not given any more guidance towards what work I complete

  • Same answer as 6a as my training provider is my employer

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • It just covers my living costs with not much spare. I am on my second year, 6 months from finishing and I am still on lower pay than the lowest band in the warehouse. However, I receive very good pay for an apprentice.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • There are lots of events outside of work if I want them. For example we go on work trips and work events with other members of the business quite often to build bonds and team skill.

  • 9. Would you recommend BT to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Great place to work. Good pay and lots of benefits of working here as well as a pretty secure job.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BT?
  • Prepare well for your interview. Working at BT isn't a walk in the park and you are required to challenge yourself and push your boundaries to develop yourself.
