Site engineer Review

I am a site engineer at Southbank place, since sep 2016 I would be responsible for Planning, marking out and levelling construction sites before any building work takes place.i also build roads, drainage systems It also involves liaising with third party stakeholders to keep them updated on the progress of the construction project, managing the site facilities, and supervising construction workers on a daily basis. They are usually in charge of health and safety on the construction site.

I have learnt many new skills, such as using specialized setting out equipment such as total stations laser, optical plummet to name a few I have learnt how to professionally liase with the client ensuring all quality assurance is complete and up to date I have developed skills such as time management, interpersonal skills.

I look forward to go to work every day, you are able to learn new things everyday, and feel a sense of accomplishment after everyday of work.

I feel valued at Laing O'Rourke, my needs are always tended to and never to far from help, There are reviews throughout the year to ensure that everything is ok, and to ensure you are on track.

The programme is structured well,with yearly performance reviews Modules throughout the year for personal development, constant communication between us and the school and college leaders leaders.
