This apprentership has enabeled me to learn new skills on the job, as well as working on my college assignments.

  • I feel like i am one of the team, i am able to get involved with the team socials. I am able to take on responsibility within the team and i am able to work alone.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The program is brilliant, there are lots of training courses if you ask to do them. Although the company doesn 't push them, if you ask and you push for them, then you will be able to get on them.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • My training provider at college always has an open door if we need help. There is also an online moodle where most of the answers to any questions you have will be on there.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My team at work off a lot od support, there are constand meetings for us to get help. There is also a structure for us to have a mentor and buddy to have someone to talk to on a more of a 1 - 1 to get involved for a day to day basis.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • The wage isnt the best here but for an apprentership it is a competitive salary and one which wont make you checking you bank account every 5 minutes.

  • there are loads of socials and training courses to go on. There are also faits where we go to help promote the company.

  • 9. Would you recommend Arup to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I would promote this to my friends as it means you are learning and getting good grades at college and uni and then you also have experience on the job. While you are getting paid and the company are paying for yours studys. This is a no brainer.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Arup?
  • Makes sure that you just be honest and truthful with the application process. It doesnt matter who you are or where you come from, as long as you can show an interest and prove that you want it more than the person sitting next to you, then you will be okay.
