  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role on a day to day basis revolves around working with our clients to deliver pro-active solutions to their issues. Usually, I am based on a client site, and will be based there for a number of months whilst we work on a project for them. Over the course of a day, I typically have a number of meetings, workshops, along with research and general technology development activities.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is very well organised, it is split into 4 semesters a year, and each semester is 10 weeks long. We do a module each semester, plus a yearlong work based project. We have exams at the end of each semester and at the end of the year all marks are added together to create a final score.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • QA (our training provider) gives us lots of support. We can reach out to our “Apprenticeship Assessor” whenever we need to, and we have check-ups every 6 weeks to see how we are getting along with our work. We also have lectures every semester, and exams at the end. We can speak to our course tutors if we do not understand the training material.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Accenture gives me lots of support as an employee, I get 25 days holiday a year, plus time off to go to training and lectures. If I need time off to study more for my course they will give it to me, and they are never angry about me needing time off for training.
