Data analyst. Analysing client's database structure documents and assessing their readiness for GDPR compliance. Working with a good team, but the investigations are quite tedious.
I have learned many organisational skills and interpersonal skills which will be very useful in future engagements
It has been hard and difficult at times, but I think it is a great way of getting into the industry which is often the biggest hurdle in itself. It has been very enjoyable overall
I feel like I have been looked after properly. You do have to reach out for support, as it does not always come to you without seeking it. The pay package has been quite respectable as well
The training has at some points been a hit and miss. The training provider changed a few times and it took some time getting used to the new schedules and ways of teaching.
Some lecturers has been good, some not so much. It is all dependant from one tutor to another.
Received quite a lot from the employer. It has been very easy to book my study days when I needed to and follow-up on my progress has been consistent.
I have been able to step onto the property ladder with the income I have earned. While I do hear it has been different from apprentice to apprentice, I am able to make ends meet, support my SO and put some money off for savings every month.
There are opportunities, but they tend to be fairly localized. As the business is spread across the country, there is always any events within a reasonable travel distance to attend.
Yes
They have given me a great opportunity while also providing both the training and salary needed to progress in the industry and in personal matters.
Be honest, have interesting stories to tell, show enthusiasm for the job and be willing to think differently, listen to others and look at yourself with a critical light with the aim to improve.
