  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I love my current role, everyone on my team is friendly and approachable which makes the every day working environment a pleasure to be in. I am constantly challenged at work so I don't get bored and there are multiple opportunities to progress and learn new skills. The overall culture at work is relaxed but professional.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Capgemini?
  • I feel like I am a valued employee at Capgemini, I am always encouraged to do better and I feel like the company is always pushing me towards improvement. My achievements are recognized and hard work appreciated. For example, I received a £100 Amazon voucher for my involvement in the Prince's Trust Million Makers challenge.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My program was the first of its kind and so had some teething issues however most of these were solved during the course of the program. There was a lot of irrelevant training provided by Arch which was a waste of time as only a fraction of it applied to my role. Arch was also very unorganized for the first half of the program, not knowing what we as apprentices had to do in order to pass, was very frustrating as we were wasting valuable time waiting for Arch to figure out what we had to do. Overall I would not recommend Arch as a training provider, however Capgemini supported us all the way, which was good.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • As I said above there were a lot of issues and Arch was sometimes hard to get support from. There was a lot of confusion on who our tutor was and which pieces of work we had to do in order to complete the apprenticeship. As time went on most of these issues were solved but it was a frustrating experience which I would not recommend to anyone.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Capgemini were great at supporting us and they made sure we had everything we needed in order to pass the apprenticeship. I feel like I could turn to anyone within the company if I needed support and they would point me in the right direction whether it be work related or personal issues.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • I am able to achieve a decent work/life balance on the salary I'm currently on but that's because I am living at home. If I had to live on my own, and pay rent, bills and car costs, it would be impossible.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • There are a decent amount of things to get involved in outside of work, however these are mostly charity events. There is an outstanding Christmas party put on by Capgemini once a year which is really great however I wish there were more social events put on throughout the year. I think this would greatly contribute to increased morale and team bonding. Summer party maybe? ;)

  • 9. Would you recommend Capgemini to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I would wholeheartedly recommend Capgemini to a friend and I have been doing so ever since I joined. After experiencing jobs where I don't feel valued at all, it's a welcome change to be respected and appreciated like I am here in Capgemini. The opportunities for progression are endless, and the friendly colleagues and relaxed culture make it a fantastic place to work.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Capgemini?
  • For people applying to Capgemini I would give the following advice: - Be yourself, more often than not recruiters look for who you are as a person instead of what you know. If they can see you've got a positive attitude and willingness to learn, they are more likely to take you on if they see the potential in you. - In the interview and group activities, make sure you are confident, well-spoken and contribute a lot to discussions. If you are quiet, try to take charge a bit more than you normally would so that you stand out. It's easy to get drowned out by louder people. - And then the obvious: be on time, dress smart, good personal hygiene etc.
