  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I have completed my frame work, which involved; 1 year at college studying PEO level 2 and the Btec level 3. Then returned to the defence site and carried out the on site training. Which involves inspection and fitting of aerospace engines. I have now been offered a substantial role as an Aerospace Engine Inspector on the EJ200.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt how to use a variety of different tooling, computer systems, planning systems and inspection techniques. My job involves a variety of different skills which I have picked up whilst training.

  • I completely enjoy my programme and wouldn't want to work for any other company.

  • Very valued. I have been treated with respected throughout the whole time I have worked for the company.

  • Everything that has been introduced to me has been explained very will, all qualifications have been provided and any support which was needed has always been provided.

  • Average. Inflation for the cost of living has increased where salary has not.

  • Yes, community events have been put on to display our apprenticeship scheme frequently.
