Day to day I am involved in reactive and preventative maintenance procedures within the shop floor.
I have learnt a lot of new skills on the job such as plc’s robotics and electrical knowledge
I thoroughly enjoy coming to work on my shift and find everyone i meet in the factory friendly and helpful. I do not however find the college day enjoyable.
Very valued they make a big deal of putting their apprentices in the limelight and giving us the opportunities to shine
My placements around the factory have been excellent with everyone expecting me when I arrive and sorting out where to start and getting me settled. However the college is a let down with teachers leaving or being dismissed constantly and not knowing what they’re teaching or going to teach.
I have regular meetings with my training officer and feel that he offers me any help I need within my working days and portfolio and even personal matters
A lot my employer is always behind me and everyone is always willing to help me.
Very well.
Lots, every month I am offered many different opportunities to represent the business and myself outside of work.
Yes
It’s a great place to work, you learn great skills and receive great pay. What’s not to like?
Stand out from the crowd don’t just be your average 5 GCSE’s because they hear that everyday make yourself employable and sell yourself to the company.
