  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am a business change apprentice my day to day tasks are split up between going to meetings and doing some of my apprenticeship work. In these meeting we hugely talk about new thing that we want to add to the business or going over a past project, monitoring it.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • It's still early days for me to say that o have developed or learnt a new skill. But - with that being said, I have had the opportunity to develop upon the skills that I already had, learning how to apply them to many different things I had not thought of in the past.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy this programme to the extent that I look forward to coming to work each morning. Even after a bad/stressful day, I still look forward to coming back the next day as each day is never the same.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Colt Technologies?
  • I feel very valued here at Colt, I am depended on to do tasks and to help out on projects, I am currently helping head a project now and the input I have given on improvements on certain things has been taken and implemented.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • To me, my programme is organised well. I find it easy to get on with when we are given a new task. They are explained in an easy to understand manner.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • When I need support of any kind I can easily reach out to my training provider(s) and they will help me if and when I do not understand anything. They come back to me and give me feedback om my work.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • When I have reached out to my employer they have been always happy and willing to help me out in whatever way they can, they stress to me that there is no issue in me asking questions when I don't understand anything, whatever it may be. They always say to me: "No question is a silly question."

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • My salary meets my costs well, I can easily pay for what I need to each months (bills etc.), place some money into savings and still have some to myself.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • My work is very proactive, they always have things going on outside of work the employees can sign up to, we have two days given to us that we can use to volunteer anywhere we choose i.e. doing work for charity.

  • 9. Would you recommend Colt Technologies to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • i have found out that Colt is a great place to work, I enjoy my time here. if i knew a friend that I thought this type of environment would suit them, I would not hesitate to recommend for then to look at getting a job here.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Colt Technologies?
  • The best advice that I could give someone that is applying to Colt would be just be themselves. From what I have experienced, Colt embraces individuality. They encourage you to be yourself in all that you do and to always speak your mind when you have an idea, even if it seems "silly".
