  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • I haven't needed to much support during the process but I imagine its easy to obtain. Both the IQA's here on site have been very supportive when questions have arisen about my portfolio and what's needed from it.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I have found that there is a lot of support from my employer, this is in all areas. Employees and managers that are not involved with apprentices are always willing to help and give you time to achieve what is needed and offer support.

    7/10

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • I believe that the salary as an apprentice is quite good compared to other employers. The problem arises is the fact that we are based in Bristol one of the most expensive cities outside of London and have found that its very hard to survive on this wage alone whilst living in the city. This only applies if you have had to relocate for the job.

    5/10

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • The apprentices association is easy to join and offers' many different events and activities, ranging from social nights out, sports and formal dinners.

    9/10

  • 9. Would you recommend Rolls-Royce to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Great company to work for who are keen to develop your skills.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Rolls-Royce?
  • Don't be disheartened by how drawn out the application process is, it will be worth it in the end. Once successful take on as many opportunities as possible to help out.
