  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am a selector at aldi, my Daily tasks involve me picking as well as pallet checking, I have been in 2 departments so far these are Ambient and Chiller. My responsibilities cover, Achieving my targets as well as accuracy in this it covers the inventory when pallet checking.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have gained qualifications with apprentice organiser ,My internal training courses cover my truck training, My personal and professional skills how to use the computer, excel better, using the advanced side of it.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy the programme here, I'm learning a lot, Meeting new people, everyone is inviting, the culture is very friendly. WE are strict on some things like racism, discrimination etc. I met my expectations well.

  • I feel valued at aldi, the appreciation is great, I get told what I'm doing right and some improves I need to make. I get told feedback whether its good or bad,

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My apprenticeship is structured well, my induction was good, The training was great, the support is good, encouraging me pushing me forward, I am getting support from my mentors. My task delegation involve me pallet checking every now and then.

  • I receive good training provider, My accessibility is good, their attitude to supporting me is they are willing to help me.

  • I receive support from my employer, When I have problems, my manager helps me out with them, shows me where to go and what to do, the attitude I get to him supporting is that he wants to help me.

  • Yes it covers the daily costs, I don't have to pay any of other expenses like living and travel and social costs.

  • There are many opportunities outside of work, like having discounts at leisure clubs, Events they do are marathons/half marathons.

  • Yes

  • Aldi is a very friendly company, makes you feel welcome. If you need help with anything they will be willing to help you.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Aldi?
  • During interviews here at aldi they aren't scary as they seem like, The application process is straight forward. The experience here is good you gain a lot, the opportunities you get here, there you get a lot like discounts on leisure places, a bike to work scheme.
