  • Chef, Opening and shutting a kitchen. Receiving orders from customers and preparing meals. All kitchen duties to meet health and safety regulations.Cleaning kitchen according to guidelines.Receiving and rotating stock. Reporting to line manager and general manager as appropriate

  • I am now trained in a wide range of kitchen duties. Ha have gained a level 2 qualification.

  • I enjoyed learning the new skills, preferred learning on the job 8nstead of in a classroom

  • They have helped me with my training.

  • Well organised programme. Workbooks and assess to tutors good. Staff changes during my course was challenging at times as different managers had different expectations

  • Some staff more helpful than others, had general manager changes during my course. Head chef very supportive

  • Apprenticeship wages low , appreciate educational aspect but hours are long and unsociable and the gallery does not reflect this

  • If you work hard , except the unsociable hours and low pay during apprenticeship. It is a great way to learn while on the job. Interview and application process was
