  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I would say that I have definitely developed in my organisation skills as this jobs required people to be very organised in their work so that it was easier for others to follow. My confidence and speaking skills have defiantly developed over the course of my time here. A skill I really wanted to work on was that of my presenting skills the Mock Tribunal boosted this majorly.

  • I felt that throughout my time I was appreciated by all staff at Pinsent Masons, they were very thankful for my help and often handed out tasks for me to do making sure that I was always occupied. • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I believe the programme was incredibly well organised the timetables were clear to follow, the task delegation was equal and effective our introduction to the firm itself helped greatly as although I had carried out some research prior to my start this helped more. The team made sure that all tasks were engaging and relevant to the programme and that they supplied all the information they could and if not they gave advice on where we could find this.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I took into consideration that most of the employers were busy but when asked questions from me they answered to the best of their ability and made time for me instantly. If I did have any problems they made sure that I was helped instantly. They appeared to be very happy in supporting me and did not act as though it was a burden to them for having to so the job.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • I can not comment on this as my work experience was not for money purposes but more the option of seeing how a real business ran, however they did provide lunch meal cards with a cost that was more than enough for us to use it for and found that we would have plenty left.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • All people that we spoke to provided information that would help outside of work whether this be information on what on how to get into law to even useful information on what would look good on our CV's this helped me as I had never actually written one before. Furthermore, we were invited to a drinks meet up after work, this made us feel very involved in the community and lifted our spirits as we felt more welcomed and included as they did not have to do this but took it upon themselves.

  • 9. Would you recommend Pinsent Masons to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • the overall atmosphere of Pinsent Masons was very welcoming and friendly, they were useful in answering questions I had and provided information vital to guiding me through the programme and indeed life outside of the firm. They provided all the little information too from room numbers to health and safety tours, even our food vouchers which helped greatly as we did not have to worry about providing this for ourselves.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Pinsent Masons?
  • I would give the advice that people take up anything they are offered by Pinsent Masons as it is the best experience I have had from a firm overall. I would advice that you keep in contact with all those that you meet during the programme and ask for business cards as this can provide opportunity's for future events and they can also ask questions that you make =think of after.
