  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I am currently working towards a Bsc in Quantity Surveying and am in my 2nd year. I have completed a number of internal courses including a Behavioural leadership course, manual handling etc. I am looking to do an excel training course in the future to increase my current excel skills. In terms of my personal and professional skills i believe my confidence has grown which is manily down to the fact that my knowledge of the contrcution industry has increased over time. When i first started my course i had little to no experience within the contsruction indusrty and after a year of being on the programme i feel like my knowledge has substantially increased.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy the programme i am on both the work side and the study side of the course. I feel like the experiences that i have on site can be used to my adavantage when completing any work that i have in my studies. I feel the Quantity Surveying route is the best one for me as although you're in the office fo some time, it is good to see how each package is built up and the cost implications of each project. It is also good as you get a chance to go on site and see the process and progress of a building project.
