  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I work within the Strategy Department and Social Chain. I am part of the Paid social team and my official job title is Paid Social Media Apprentice. On a day to day basis I will be setting up campaigns for clients, optimising live campaigns based on results. I have communications with clients we work with to ensure we are meeting their targets and KPI's. I also build out reports for clients so all data and information is in one easy place so they know how their campaign is doing and if they want to make any changes.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have more experience on Facebook's business manager and have a greater understanding of metrics and how to optimise based on results. Also, working with people internally has increased my confident and communication skills with people. Furthermore, I have had presentation training courses and excel training to ensure I know my way around the format.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • My training provider is Total People. Personally, I have received minimal assistance and advice. In terms of accessibility to support, I emailed multiple times over a months period and received no response until this week, but the task I needed help on was due for a month ago, so I had no guidance on how i could improve the work I was producing. From speaking to other apprentices in my cohort, they have had a similar experience.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a lot of guidance and support from my manager/mentor, I have mini meetings with him every morning to go through our daily plan and what we need to complete by the end of the day, to ensure we don't miss deadlines. In terms of guidance, he will always helps with any questions I have, whether it concerns work or external questions. He is aware of what I have been through in the past and is there for support and I know I can always talk to him when needed.
