  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • For my current role I have been placed in a Manufacturing Management role where I am assisting the managers with their day to day jobs, shadowing various cell leaders and also working on a project to update the skills matrix of the departments by working with the cell leaders and the managers, this allows me to meet everyone within the area and interact with them on a daily basis. My main responsibility is to complete my project but also help the managers where required.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Teledyne/E2V?
  • My overall apprentice manager is very kind and helps with whatever is required, feels more like a friend than a manager. My current area manager is the same, it really helps me to enjoy my work. I am already involved with a lot of the areas and the management so I feel very valued with regard to my involvement within the company.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Very much so, the induction and training month really helped us settle within the company and our own apprenticeship scheme. There is non stop support from all members of staff and the tasks we are given are at a rate that suit us and our capabilities so we are never overwhelmed or left with nothing to do.
