  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • It is a great scheme and has given me many opportunites in the work place to interact with senior leaders and devlop as a person. This scheme has really made me grow up and learn how to behave in the work place and have a more mature outlook on my personal life.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Nestle?
  • Very valued! My team supports me well and I am given good recognition for my efforts in team meetings and the appropriate form. The ability to become involved in projects and tasks due to the value from my team has been great and the chance for new opportunites is also very good.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is well structed with a very good induction plan at the start of the time at Nestle. The support we get with inductions to new roles and the allocation of a mentor and buddy for the scheme makes the whole thing feel a lot less daunting.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • This is the weaker element as they are external making it harder to contact them if there are any issues. On our Uni weeks this is very good and the contact time we have is very good, however questions or concerns outside of the Uni weeks is limited.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • The support we get from Nestle is great. HR processes are all aligned and we all know that the support is there if we need it. Anything that we are unsure of we have the nessesary channels in place and I have never felt like the nsupport network isnt there.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • The fact that my degree is paid for means it is hard to complain. However having to move away from home and having very little support from Nestle with this made it harder. The salary we recieve is livable however I would say it is hard to save and do all of the things I want to.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • I have been invited to a few comapny events and there is a resonalbe social network outside of work. York has a good feel and sharing with another person on the scheme makes it a lot easier. Nestle could possible look to try and set up more social events outside of work to help the settling in process.

  • 9. Would you recommend Nestle to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • The company looks after the employees like I have never seen before. The work atmosphere is fantastic and the jobs that we are given are real jobs and there is an actual feel like the work that I do has an impact on Nestle across the UK. The programme has great structure and support is in place if we need it.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Nestle?
  • Get all of the experience you can in community and extra activities outside of academics. Nestle are looking for a rounded person that fits the culture.
