  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Just moved into Demand Planning this week. As part of our apprenticeship we move department every 6 months to gain a wider understanding of the business. Previous I was an assistant brand manager within marketing but i also was given the opportunity to work across brands to develop my knowledge. I was given real responsibilities and worked on lots of projects including 3 NPDs. With internal and external interactions daily to communicate with relevant stakeholders on the project but still had the support from my team whenever i required it.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have developed so many new skills. From everyday communications to learning new job roles. There are constant training courses that are availible to attend to progress learnings. I am study towards a degree so the theory of working at uni and then taking this into the practical work environment is so beneficial.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Nestle?
  • As we are given real responsibilites we contribute to the team which is then appreciated as it slighly redcues their work loads. As apprentices we are assets to the company and we are reminded of that snd are shown appreciation from our line managers also.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • We are the 5th cohort to go throught the apprenticeship so they have developed it and now it is organised overall but there are still areas to improve on. Induction is very thorough and enjoyable with lots of training exercises. The support is huge and the studying side of support could be improved but it is difficult since we are only at uni for a week at a time.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • This is another area that could be improved. While the course leader is amazing it is the module leaders that could improve their clarity and offer support - that would be required from a longer distance. Although their attitude is often helpful and the support provided is hugely appreciated.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • All university expenses are paid for which is incredible. TRavel can be quite costly for me getting to work daily but that is not much of an issue.
