  • I am a Digital Journalism Apprentice. My role so far has involved creating digital videos, recording radio packages, setting up guests for programmes, research for stories and doing shifts on our 'Local Live' which details local breaking news in Yorkshire.

  • Yes - an incredible amount of professional skills. These range from how to tell stories to using certain software.

  • A lot.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by BBC?
  • Valued for an apprentice. But it's often easy to be overlooked, which I imagine is just part of being in a junior role.

  • Mostly good - however, at times, some blocks of training have been based away from home for up to 5 weeks which can be quite taxing.

  • Lots - as little or as much as I need, depending on the circumstances.

  • Lots - as little or as much as I need, depending on the circumstances.

  • Recent changes to salaries have helped a lot although this is definitely a more challenging area.

  • In my general life? Yes, lots including mainly leisure activities.

  • Yes

  • It's the best global media company in the world and treats its employees really well.

  • Be yourself and research the role (and exactly where you're based!) before the application, the assessment days, any interviews and more.
