  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I believe the programme is well structured during placement, however our time away studying at Newcastle College has been difficult. We have recieved very disorganized teaching from lecturers whom were employed very close to our start date with minimal idea of our current knowledge and understanding. However, this was no fault of the BBC's, and management have been heavily involved in attempting to improve this.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • My salary has been a challenge, being based on Placement in Bristol has been quite costly for housing and day to day living. I believe the salaries should be considered dependant on the area of which you are living in, as finding a more permanant home here is extremely costly. Thankfully I have family friends here, so have been able to secure a lower rental for a room during my placements.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?

  • For those whom are applying, my advice would be - Be Truthful. Don't feel too intimidated by the interview board, and simply try your best. Sell yourself and your personality. Don't worry too much about past experiences relating to the position, as long as you are passionate I believe that shines through.
