I write for online and make digital videos for BBC Wales News. I write from copy and original stories of my own. I also research for future and upcoming stories in Wales area.
I've honed my writing skills, learnt to be more confident in the workplace, learnt practical skills such as video and audio editing and learnt a lot about working with others.
My team have really made my placement so enjoyable so far, they're so friendly and always ready to help or give constructive advice.
At least on my placement, I feel like a valued and equal member of the team.
It's got a good flow to it, and I feel I get enough time to study as well as work.
I get support everyday, and there's always someone in college I can turn to if I need advice or help with something.

My salary is reflective of the work and study I do, and it meets my living costs at the moment.
I've had a few opportunities to go to internal industry events, and I've taken up tap classes to meet people in my new city. I think I have a good work/life balance.
Yes
Because you are valued as a competent individual and it's such an expanding company to work for, with so many different opportunities to push myself further as a journalist.
I would definitely say to be yourself, don't hide and be proud of who you are! If you have a really cool interest in something, be it politics, music or fashion, make sure people know it! Be creative with your ideas, I've been told time and time again since I started this job - there is no such thing as a bad idea! It's natural to be nervous on interview days, but just relax, smile and be yourself.
