Job Title - HR Business Support Daily Tasks - Opening post, providing references, scanning documents, arranging work experience, first aid allowances, paternity leave, jury service, completing subject access requests etc. On a daily basis I interact with colleagues internally face to face and customers externally via email, telephone etc.
By the end of my apprenticeship I will have gained a qualification in Business Administration. I have also gained a Customer Service Excellence Approach internal qualification. I am working towards a Bronze Accreditation in Lean. I have become more confident in using the telephone to talk to customers. I have gained experience in using excel and other Microsoft Office applications as well as being trained to use the internal systems as used by the HR team.
I have really enjoyed my time here at Fujitsu. The work that I have to do is difficult but rewarding. The team that I work in is very supportive and create a warm and friendly working environment.
I feel as though I am a valued member of my team and gain constructive feedback from my manager and colleagues. I often get positive feedback from my customers with regards to speed of response etc.
When I started my apprenticeship I felt as though I didn't have a lot of guidance and was not sure what I was supposed to be doing with regards to the learning side. However, when my Training Assessor changed I felt as though I was given a lot more information and guidance and am now confident in what I am supposed to do. I have regular meetings with my Manager and my Training Assessor to discuss how I am doing etc.
My Training Assessor is extremely helpful and approachable.
My team and manager are extremely helpful and approachable. I will always receive guidance when I ask for it. I am now involved in the mentoring scheme and have been receiving advice and support from my mentor. She has been setting up shadowing and training days for me within different areas of HR. I also have regular meetings with Gemma to discuss how I am doing and feeling with regards to my apprenticeship which has been really helpful.
I feel that my salary is appropriate for all of my costs.
I have recently been to a Pincent Masons Law Briefing event which was held for HR in London. I have not been introduced to any apprentices who are not in my team so there have not been many opportunities for social events with other apprentices.
