  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The programme itself (on paper) is extremely good, with a lot of benefits. However in most cases it has differed when it actually comes down to it, with treatment within the company.

  • Currently in the team I am working within now, I feel very valued and comfortable, however previously I have often felt excluded and not valued.

  • Our programme covers a variety of courses to improve performance, however it is not entirely structured, often over promising and under delivering.

  • I receive sufficient support if asked.

  • All the support necessary, when prompted.

  • Very well, great expense system and company are fantastic in how they treat employees with benefits.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Company is very large monopoly, great opportunity to develop real life working skills whilst studying for degree and good benefits system. Great for apprenticeships.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to National Grid?
  • Very different to University/college environment. You may feel you are always under the microscope, takes a while to adjust but a good company to learn valuable life skills from.
