1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My client is United Utilities, I review contractors prices for projects and work with the project manager and project engineers. I interact with the whole Team and go on site visits with the project mangers and engineers.

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt lots of new skills, using different software's and developing relationships with contractors and other team members.

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy my programme, I think it has great prospects for the future, and it enables me to earn whilst I learn and get a degree.

4. How valued do you feel by Mott MacDonald?

I do feel valued by Mott MacDonald and I feel included at social initiatives. I get good recognition from my work colleagues.

5. How well organised/structured is your programme?

I think the programme could be more structured at the start however I soon found my feet in the role. The training I receive at LJMU is second to none.

6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?

I receive a lot of support from LJMU, my tutor is always there if I need help with anything. I really enjoy going to university.

6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a lot of support form my employer for example my line manager and my assigned mentor are really helpful at teaching me and giving me advise.

7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?

My Salary package could be better however it does meet most of my costs . Also Mott MacDonald provide a great Benefits allowance, where for example I can buy/sell more or less annual leave.

8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?

There are lots of social initiatives outside of work and lots of company activities.

Mott MacDonald is brilliant firm to work for and this is a great opportunity they are providing. They have great prospects for me in the future because they are a well-respected global firm which have projects all over the Globe in many different sectors of surveying.

10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Mott MacDonald?

I had to apply online then I received an interview with an associate. Around 30 questions were asked. Speak intelligently and enthusiastically.
