  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I work as a Team Secretary. Within this role I book meetings, I do print, filing and copying, I arrange peoples diaries and travel etc. In total, I work for 40 people across 2 teams, some of whom are in other KPMG offices.

  • I have learnt new skills as some of the work I do is not work I have necessarily done before have developed my people skills further.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I absolutely love this programme. It offers a range of support, opportunities and is overall full of fantastic people too!

  • 4. How valued do you feel by KPMG?
  • I feel extremely valued, anything you suggest or say is taken on board. Each person in KPMG is valued for who they are.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is very well structured as the expectations are very clear. The organisation is flawless, if there is ever a problem, it gets sorted ASAP.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • We get a lot of support from the training provider as we have a call and a webinar every month in preparation for the exam and to discuss the exam we have just taken. It provides an opportunity to discuss progress and to ask any questions.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Endless amount of support. We get given time away from our desk to study and if we ever feel overloaded with work, they are just a message away from being able to help.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • Very well, especially as my journey is 1h 45mins each day as I live in Hertfordshire.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • Where I live, there is plenty of opportunities. You can do swimming, dancing, Guides, voluntary community work etc.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • It is a company where you are a valued as a person, you get the support you need, and you bring your whole self to work. KPMG support you through everything, including your health implications.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to KPMG?
  • Don't hide who you are. Bring your whole self with you. Honesty is the best policy.
