1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

rotate through different lines of service in 6-9 month placements gaining experience in those lines of service so that I can make an informed decision where to specialise later. Take on responsibilities and roles within the team to gain experience.

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Study for AAT L3 in year one and AAT L4 in year and three. After then you specialise and take the appropriate qualifications to specialise in your chosen area. Given online courses within the company on a learning site, which are available to everyone to continue learning. Exposed to a lot of high level people and jobs and so learn relevant skills and behaviours from experience

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The company is very welcoming and accommodating. It expects a lot but gives you a huge amount in return. There is an inclusive culture which values different points of view. My programme and KPMG have surpassed my expectations easily.

4. How valued do you feel by KPMG?

People are always happy to give you feedback to help you develop and progress. You are recognised as an individual and your differences are valued, if you work hard and show enthusiasm and promise they will trust you with more responsibility and more complex tasks. You get out what you put into the programme

5. How well organised/structured is your programme?

There is a clear hierarchy and structure and it is made clear to you where and to who to take different problems. There are regular catch ups to review performance as well as your well being. KPMG provide a lot of support when it comes to training and genuinely want to see you succeed

6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?

The training provider seem to be great I have felt supported by them and the college based classes were brilliant. They provided us with all the material we needed and their online platform was really useful in the run up to our first exams.

6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?

Very inclusive and there is a huge amount of support available to help you succeed. Wellbeing is a big theme at KPMG and they put a lot of emphasis on it and want you to be happy and successful as a person as well as an employee.

7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?

I live in the city centre within walking distance from work, renting by myself and I do not have any trouble. I can still support a social life and save.

8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?

KPMG are a very social company and there are lots of opportunities to socialise both within your team and your office as well as within your programme. You are given 42 hours to dedicate to voluntary work each year (6 days apprx) and KPMG hold loads of fundraisers and events to get involved.

A great company with a fantastic culture. They are dedicated to helping you succeed and you will get in what you get out. KPMG is a great name to work for and is globally recognised. The size and variety of clients you work on is massive. The scope for progression within the company is great and they really value the apprenticeship programme.

Be yourself they appreciate differences and different points of view.
